Work
'A Love for the Y's', consists of 11 parts of an A4 format combined into one
unit/story. It is a technique of linocut on paper, and ink-jet prints on the
mirror foil. Motivation and inspiration for this work is the technique of
bibliotherapy and belief in the influence of the books that we read on our
experiences. Putting yourself in the 'others' shoes', the reader recognizes the
work of literature, and compares the story with their own personal experiences.
With this psychological process, story / text becomes part of the reader's
world, a part of his personality, because it stimulates the imagination,
emotional reactions, and provides insight into the specific information about
themselves, about their relations with others and the environment that
surrounds us and affects us. The mirrors, which are part of the work has a
symbolic role, reflecting the real world, they are warning reversed to reflect
again that truth (the quotes) to us.
